5 for Friday (July 10): Trailers, new releases and box office

One of those weeks when there are a lot of interesting films on cinema release at the same time - even the beautifully-animated Song of the Sea was squeezed out of my five picks...

1. Dear White People
Smart, biting satire following four African American students at an Ivy League college. Winner of the Sundance Film Festival's Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent.

2. Touch Of Evil (reissue)
Director Orson Welles also stars - along with Charlton Heston and Janet Leigh - in a classic noir about police corruption, murder and kidnapping in a Mexican border town.

3. Love & Mercy
Paul Dano and John Cusack play Beach Boy Brian Wilson during two different periods of the great man's life in a warm and revealing biopic.

4. The Reunion
When a famous artist doesn't receive an invite to her class reunion she makes a film about what could have happened had she been there and confronted her former bullies. Powerful Swedish docudrama.

5. P'Tit Quinquin
Originally shown in France as a four-part TV mini-series, this black comedy/murder mystery begins with the discovery of human body parts stuffed inside a cow. Blimey!
